The Getting Free Resource List

I’ve made a distinction here between body and mind, but don’t trick yourself into thinking you can get your mind free without getting your body free too (and vice versa). These aren’t separate things. Mind is looking at you from inside yourself. Body is looking at you from outside yourself.

These are just the works that have influenced me. There is quite literally a sea of information out there on the internet that covers these kinds of things. This should get you started.

Mind

Accept nothing as fact. Question Everything. You need to be constantly looking out for those things that you have not questioned, your assumptions. What do you believe in? Start with that. You really shouldn’t be “believing” in anything. For starters: Do you believe in God? Do you believe in the Scientific Method? These are both useful tools in the right context. Do you think religious wisdom is superstitious crock? Do you think science is the devil’s way of misleading poor analytical souls? If you said yes to either of those questions then please go prove yourself wrong. Challenge yourself.

You don’t need to use psychedelics or other consciousness altering chemicals in the process of freeing your mind, but they can be useful. Do your research and be safe.

- The book Prometheus Rising by Robert Anton Wilson
- The book God’s Debris by Scott Adams
- The Lazy Man’s Guide to Enlightenment by Thaddeus Golas
- Dan Bartlett’s Magnetic Centre

Body

Do you think you can get very free mentally while working a soul-sucking job for a third of your day every day? Probably not. If you’re really interested in freeing your mind, you have to be equally agressive in freeing your time. You get three hours of smart a day. Are you going to sell that time?

- The book Evasion by Anonymous
- The book An Inquiry Into Living by Jeffrey Sawyer
- The zine Doris by Cindy
- How to Drop Out by Ran Prieur

There are also things you can do that involve both mind and body. Psychedelics, as mentioned before. Yoga and Martial Arts. William Burroughs’ DE.
